POSITION: EMR Implementation Project Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, responsible for the management, implementation and support of the clinical EMR solutions, providing leadership, coordination and management activities; technology plans to support business demands, project and resource plans, action plans, issues, and cross team collaboration. Ensures the delivery of exceptional and proactive customer service.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the overall planning and execution of the strategy to deploy our EMR solutions. Partners with the Client Services Manager and Chief Technology Officer to adhere to the strategic roadmap.
- Partners with the business to define and establish end user requirements the EMR based on industry leading practices.
- Serves as the key point for planning and leading all aspects of the EMR projects including project work plan development and management, planning and conducting design sessions with key business users and translating the business needs to the system solution.
- Applies prior experience in EMR implementations to successfully implement a comprehensive EMR solution integrated with other software types.
- Applies extensive knowledge of HL7 and interface transaction sets in order to assist in developing and implementing an HL7 interface strategy.
- Leads, mentors and manages other team members to allow them to be successful contributors to the long term integration solution.
- Establishes a strong working relationship with end user organization and to function as the end users’ representative on technology issues.
- Draws on prior EMR implementation experience to serve as a resource and leader for other team members.
- Effectively measures project scope, scope creep, issues and risks, schedule status and variance, and resource management issues as it relates to assigned projects. Acts on data in a timely manner, resulting in no surprises.
- Proactively monitors and accurately communicates regarding project performance using project tools, dashboards, reports and other communication vehicles.
- Proactively collaborates across projects with other product and cross functional project teams to identify project risks, issues and efficiencies and to avoid scheduling or resource conflicts on inter-related projects. Implements established policies, system monitors and controls to ensure the successful management and reporting of all initiatives in the program.
- Proactively works with IT and the business to manage and resolve production application issues – from identification through resolution.
- Prepares workflow charts and diagrams to document business and systems workflows for existing and new applications.
- Plans and prepares business documents, reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of project requirements and workflows.
- Assists developers and customization specialists in resolution of work problems related to flow charts, project specifications, or business requirements understanding.
- Prepares project timelines, schedules, estimates and resource planning to support key business projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong knowledge and experience in clinic processes for healthcare. Must have exceptional understanding of the industry leading business processes that are used to support patient flow in primary care and correctional settings and be able to apply this business understanding to solution implementation and integration strategies.
- Extensive experience in the configuration and implementation of EMR packages.
- Extensive knowledge with HL7 is greatly desired.
- Exceptional ability to identify business requirements and translate those into the configuration parameters in the packaged solution.
- Experience in leading a teams of 10 – 15 people ensuring that resources have clear direction and assignments as well as ongoing follow up.
- Experience with eliciting requirements from business users and stakeholders.
- Experience conducting design/configuration sessions with key business users and stakeholders.
- Exceptional ability to identify and track issues and drive them to a conclusion.
- Experience in developing a detailed project plan to guide projects. Ability to utilize the project plan to provide ongoing status on progress.
- Experience producing project artifacts to include status reports, business requirements, non-technical design documents, etc.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience in a related field OR
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field such as Healthcare Administration or other Clinical degree combined with minimum of two years experience in information technology
JOB RELAVENT EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in the implementation of packaged EMR software solutions in the healthcare environment
- Experience in a program or project management role directing other team members, planning and managing integrated complex projects
- Extensive experience with the implementation of an EMR solution with specific focus on identifying, designing and implementing critical integration links with the EMR solution and other solutions in the environment
- Ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of business side of healthcare complemented by a depth of technical skills
POSITION: Client Services Specialist
Highly professional and self-motivated Client Services Specialist needed to conduct training and support for a successful, national correctional software company. Essential Functions:
- Work in a team environment to train ambulatory practices to use electronic medical record software and advise clients on improving workflow efficiency.
- Design, develop, and deliver software application training.
- Review and test EMR templates and other EMR software customizations prior to client use.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure implementations are moving in accordance with contract deliverables and project timelines.
- Act as client's advocate (and subject matter expert) when application changes/projects are proposed internally.
- Maintain communication logs for assigned clients.
- Conduct all training preparation work including database, materials, travel request documents, and training environment for training sessions.
- Make recommendations for the development of teaching aids such as training manuals, demonstration models, visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
- Manage classes of up to 10 or more students.
- Provide technical support to new and existing clients.
- Document all client change requests and ensure completion of them.
- Ensure standard process is used consistently for all clients.
- Coordinate with appropriate departments as necessary to resolve/complete client issues.
- Identify opportunities to provide consulting or project services to clients. Consult on requests for new services or changes to existing services.
- Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- An Associate degree is required, though a Bachelor degree is preferred, in training, computers, medical, or related field.
- 3-5 years related experience and/or equivalent combination of training and experience which evidences an advanced knowledge of medical administrative office practices, training, and/or technical support.
- Extensive experience with computers; proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook.Ability to learn and operate software programs quickly.
- Basic understanding of technical terminology.
- Previous training and implementation experience is preferred.
- Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively.

Primary responsibilities of the position include design and development of new features as well as support and enhancements for existing features of the product. - Design, develop, and implement Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management software applications.
- Effectively participate in all stages of software development lifecycle including:

- Code development, unit testing and revision.
- Conducting quality assurance through the use of test scripts and ad-hoc testing.
- Conducting internal new feature training.
- Coordinate with appropriate departments as necessary to resolve/complete client issues.
- Conduct maintenance development for the existing code based on support cases.
